In this talk, we will explore how to bring the security and convenience of passwordless authentication to your Drupal projects. We will focus on three key methods: the WebAuthn protocol, electronic certificates, and the Cl@ve PIN system from the Spanish e-government.
We will start with an introduction to the concept of passwordless authentication and its advantages over traditional methods. Then, we will dive into how to implement WebAuthn in Drupal, allowing users to authenticate using secure devices like smartphones and security keys.
Next, we will look into how to integrate electronic certificates, providing an additional layer of security and facilitating authentication based on verified identities. Finally, we will explore the Cl@ve PIN system, a key service in the Spanish public administration, offering a secure and simple way to access electronic services.
During the talk, we will share practical examples and best practices to ensure an effective and secure implementation.
